Adaptive Training for all disabilities

beABLED aim to promote and run wheelchair sports classes for people with disabilities, such as spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy, amputation, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy and arthritis. Wheelchair sports brings people from all travels of life with different disabilities, Mondays and Fridays BeABLED focuses on strength training exercises designed to prepare you for a multitude of sports and activities as well as help you increase muscle strength and better your physic. We have separately categorised our sessions into different fitness programme’s. Programme A is for disabilities with limited use of their upper body with non or little function of the core, these sessions involve all upper body workouts. Programme B is suited for bodies of able and disabled who have use of their upper and lower body, including some core. This may include individuals with paraplegia, some individuals with cerebral palsy, and individuals with double above the knee amputation.

As no two disabilities are the same, you will need to decide which programme fits you best. Hopefully be able to do all the exercises in one programme, while other days you may need to use one or more of the exercises from a different programme. BeABLED will find a new adaptation to an exercise or if you find a way, then we would appreciate your method. If you have access to a gym or  some degree of exercise equipment we can help with a fitness plan so you can find a beneficial exercise programme Reps will be shown as the number or numbers you see. Sets will be shown as how many times you see those number. For example, if you see 15 - 10 - 8, then you will be performing three sets: the first will have 15 reps, the second will have 10 reps, and the third will have 8 reps.
